For our American friends :

End of summer 2005 we decided to buy or build a house in Germany. After a period of 6 months, we reached the decision to build our own house because we just could not find a place we could say "that's it". So we planned and planned and  by summer 2006 we were ready to build our DREAM HOUSE! Well, just before we could set the first stone, Stefan got the offer, to work in Oklahoma for about two years. So, we thought and thought and said YES-OK. Let's build it later in life. And so we moved to Oklahoma beginning of 2007.

We do not regret this decision, we think it is a great opportunity to experience a different way of life and culture.

We really enjoy living in OK, and are thankful for all the wonderful people we have met.

At the moment, we do not know how much longer we will be staying, but for sure it will be at least until end of 2009.

Following are a few pictures of our home town Celle, which is a historic, over 700 years old town in North Germany near Hanover.

View of a street leading into Celle city.                                                        We walk along this road to get into the city.

In Celle City, most streets are closed for traffic, you park your car in parking lots outside the center, and walk into the city.

Stechbahn (name of the road)                                                                         This house was built in 1532

Celle castle                                                                                              Sight seeing tours through Celle by horse and trailer.

Partner cities of Celle                                                                                  One of them is Tulsa

This is our piece of land, where we will build our house when we return to Germany              Our house will be built in front of the left house.

This is the road where we will live
